Prompt #2: space (Dave Ravenblood, my friend, says make into a musical composition/another poet wants a hard physical copy)

Space for my heart’s throb of owning a stand up bass
Space for a favorite yet difficult chair
Space for my impractical fantasy of a full grand piano
Overlooking my refuge
on a very sacred,
tranquil lake.
Space for roughed-in imaginings
Space for the adoration of
Space for their children, And their children’s children
And friendships and sisters and lovers and God.

Space for poetry and wanderings and inventions
Space for music hitchhiking inside my sauntering wobble
And space for acknowledging the kindnesses rambling ’round
In each of us.

I bow to you.
