Surrounding me every quarter inch it looks like a field of sprinkled pebbles. Except, it is not. It is my waste coming out of my body as I struggle to find a peace-filled, dark, warm, and dry place to rest my weary body.
My name is Ikki-Tiki-Poo-Poo. I am a grown female bat living on Earth in the United States of America. Florida is my chosen state (well, maybe because my birth family chose it!) along with twelve other species of bats. I thrive on a clear lake.
My life is rich and luxurious. I get to be with nature!
And, I get to watch humans go berserk over my presence. They want to see me fly all the time. Part of the problem is I only fly after dark ~ when they cannot see me! So in daylight, if they push my buttons, I have to show my fangs!
Then…they leave me alone.
