If tears could wash the pain away

If music could heal my heart

If fire could burn a wound clean

If soil could nurture one more flower

Then we could hope for hope again

A sacred spring could burst forth

Tones of beauty would resound

If new blaze would rekindle

And earth could have its brightest hour
